Choosing to heal

Vida Ghodraty Jabloo

Master of Science, Psychiatric Nursing

Registered Psychotherapist and Registered Nurse

Experience: 20+ years

About Me

My therapeutic approach centers on creating a calm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can process deep emotions, explore concerns, cultivate selfawareness, and reconnect with their innate capacity for healing. Together, we work toward meaningful insight and intentional action that supports desired change.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO), a member in good standing with the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP), and a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). I hold a master’s degree in Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing. I support individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, past and ongoing trauma, chronic pain, and longterm emotional or physical challenges. Over more than 20 years of clinical experience, I have worked with youth, adults, newcomer women, and older adults across hospital, community, university, and privatepractice settings. These experiences have shaped my deep sense of empathy, attunement, and respect for each person’s story, and have strengthened my ability to help clients contain, understand, and transform difficult emotions. My goal is to support clients in moving from surviving to truly thriving. I draw from a range of evidencebased modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), SolutionFocused Brief Therapy, Psychodynamic approaches, EMDRinformed strategies, and Motivational Interviewing. My work is traumainformed, culturally responsive, and holistic, honoring the interconnectedness of mind, body, and lived experience.
