Its structure is similar to one of nephrite (dianite is, in fact, an amphibole). It is often referred to as “blue nephrite” or “Siberian blue jade” as a result of its similarity to nephrite. It was found in the Murun Mountains in Yakutia, to the north from Baikal Lake in Russia.
