Azurite from China with large crystals and light surface weathering. Azurite is a soft, deep blue copper mineral produced by weathering of copper ore deposits. Azurite was distinguished from (the much more expensive) purified natural ultramarine blue by heating (as described by Cennino D'Andrea Cennini).
