It is from the Mashamba West Mine, Katanga Provice, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is really beautiful. It is a collection piece of mine that I have had. Calcite seas alternated with aragonite seas over the Phanerozoic, being most prominent in the Ordovician and Jurassic.
